Our philosophy is simple: Together, we move forward.

Tampa Bay Brain Injury Support Group was founded on December 10, 2015 as the product of a merger between three long-standing brain injury support groups in the Tampa Bay area. Some of our members have been part of the group for nine years!
You can expect 20-30 members at any given meeting. However, larger events such as picnics can have as many as 45-50 participants.
Our meetings are held the 4th Saturday of every month from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin, FL. In addition, we also have monthly social events for the entire family. Some of our favorite activities include Dine-outs, Movies at the Park, Bowling, Picnics, Sunsets at the Beach, Theater Performances, Concerts, Game Day, etc.

Meetings are lead by a rock-star group of volunteer facilitators that invite speakers and plan events for the year. We all work as a team.

What can I expect in typical meeting? Our greeters will help you feel right at home as you come-in. They will offer you a name badge and introduce you to some of the group members.

We offer volunteer participation roles for those who want to take an active role. Yet, we also respect the individual choices of our members if they prefer not to do so.

Meeting topics are select based on the interest of the group (i.e., Special Needs Trusts, Home Care Services, Cognitive Rehabilitation Tools, Coping with Stress, Home Safety, Yoga, Brain Foods). Facilitators/speakers also share valuable tools and resources.

How do I become a group member? You already are! Come visit one of our meetings OR connect with us via email or facebook. Our team will be happy to answer any questions to help you get started.
