We are survivors and caregivers of brain injured people.
I can do things you cannot. You can do things I cannot. Together we can do great things. ~ Mother TheresaFollow Us on Facebook
2017 Newsletters:March - April January - February
- To provide tools and resources
- To expand knowledge about brain injury
- To develop a supportive community for survivors and their caregivers
Our philosophy is simple: Together, we move forward.
Meetings are lead by a rock-star group of volunteer facilitators that invite speakers and plan events for the year. We all work as a team.
What can I expect in typical meeting? Our greeters will help you feel right at home as you come-in. They will offer you a name badge and introduce you to some of the group members.
We offer volunteer participation roles for those who want to take an active role. Yet, we also respect the individual choices of our members if they prefer not to do so.
Meeting topics are select based on the interest of the group (i.e., Special Needs Trusts, Home Care Services, Cognitive Rehabilitation Tools, Coping with Stress, Home Safety, Yoga, Brain Foods). Facilitators/speakers also share valuable tools and resources.
How do I become a group member? You already are! Come visit one of our meetings OR connect with us via email or facebook. Our team will be happy to answer any questions to help you get started.
Want to help? We are always looking for people that want to lend a helping hand. For volunteer information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rene Myers – firstname.lastname@example.org
